Important Information

2023 Gadsden County Tax Lien Auction

1. Introduction
Review the “Tax Certificate Process” and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) documents located on this web site.
Although it is the bidder's responsibility to be completely familiar with the statutes governing tax sales in this state prior to participating in a sale, these documents provide a "plain English" overview of how the sale works.

2. Register
In order to participate in the sale, each new bidder is required to register on this web site.  As part of the registration process, you will be prompted to create a Username and Password to access the site, verify all account information entered at registration is true and correct, and acknowledge and agree to the User License Agreement.

3. Tax Certificate Sale Policy including Participating Bidder Agreement
You will be required to acknowledge and agree to the Tax Certificate Sale Policy including the Participating Bidder Agreement. Once agreed to, the Policy and Agreement may be reviewed at any time under "Edit My Account".

4. Review the Summary of Important Dates and Information below

5. Place your bids
It is the bidder's responsibility to research each property thoroughly prior to placing a bid. While investing in tax certificates is generally a good investment, there is some associated risk. Understand the risks and employ the “buyer beware” philosophy. Remember, the purchase of a certificate does not convey title to the property.

6. Place a deposit
Make a deposit equal to 10% of your estimated winnings or $100.00, whichever is greater by the posted deposit due date.

7. Batch Closings
As each batch closes, you may view the results for that batch by clicking “Results” on the home page.

8. Make your Payment
Payments for the balance of your winnings must be made within 48 hours of the close of the last batch.
Failure to pay your auction balance, in full, in the time allotted shall cause your deposit to be forfeited.
All results are unofficial until all monies are received and the Tax Collector officially closes the sale.
